Welcome back to another Beneath the Surface session, this time we are joined by Margarita Shamrakov. She has recently released the heart wrenching new single ‘Love Always Wins’ featuring the vocals of Theo. We discuss all things surrounding her music and writing process, so lets get to it below!
What would you say first sparked your interest in music/who inspired you to make music?
As a kid growing up in Ukraine, music was a form of expression my feelings that I could not find the words to say.
How would you describe the music you are currently creating?
Experimenting.
What does your creative process look like?
Different every time.
Who would you most like to collaborate with? (let’s send it out to the universe and make it happen!)
Kurt Cobain, Sting, Justin Bieber, Bat for Lashes.
What is the one message you would like to send out to your fans?
that Love always wins .
What’s your top tip to rejuvenate your creativity/get over a writer’s block?
I usually read, it helps me.
What’s next for you, what do we have to look forward to/ what are you currently working on?
Working on a scary song – All my demons are with me. And also working on a scary story as well.
