What would you say first sparked your interest in music/who inspired you to make music?
Each one of us had different backgrounds and inputs, for Matteo (drums) listening to Led Zeppelin was an input, for Eugenia it was mostly being able to reinterpret by playing herself the music she loved and share it to other people. Then came up the need of expressing somehow ‘louder’ her own ideas and feelings.
How would you describe the music you are currently creating?
The new music we are creating is like a colorful forest, if you look at it from afar you see certain shapes and colors, you identify the forest and the trees, but if you look at it closely you can notice different shades and shapes that make up the whole thing. To get to this musical view we got to know each other deeply and open ourselves to each one’s different music tastes… the result is a music that develops itself in many directions at once, it goes straight but also up and down.
What does your creative process look like?
We usually start from an idea some of us bring to the table, then we develop it and we build a song layer by layer.
Who would you most like to collaborate with? (let’s send it out to the universe and make it happen!)
So many… but randomly.. Connan Mockasin? Kokoroko?
What is the one message you would like to send out to your fans?
We thank all the fans we have and for our future releases we invite them to join us on our journey, musically and spiritually; it’s a cabinet of curiosity.
What’s your top tip to rejuvenate your creativity/get over a writer’s block?
It happens and it’s fine, it means you gave all you had to give with who you are at the time and what you know at the time, the solution is to change habits, look for new music, new places, new people, new books, new experiences, through this maybe you’ll be able to achieve new tools to be creative.
What’s next for you, what do we have to look forward to/ what are you currently working on?
We’re about to release new music, currently we are hype to see the results and to play our new music live.
