Rising German-based singer-songwriter and producer Edwin Rosen debuts his long-awaited first EP today, mitleerenhänden”.

The release comes following the incredible success of Rosen’s music over the past year and a half.  Catapulted from a relatively unknown bedroom producer to a highly popular and respected musician, with no label, promotion or marketing plan, Edwin Rosen has managed to achieve the impossible, clocking in well over 1 million streams on each single and proving himself as a force to be reckoned with.

Back to cement his place as one of Germany’s most exciting new acts, Edwin Rosen offers a collection of his biggest and best singles to date, including the 2-4-1 banger ‘Leichter//kälter’, the dance fan favourite, Verschwende deine Zeit and a brand new offering in the form of the visuals for the moody title track anthem, ‘mitleerenhänden’.

Here, Edwin Rosen explains the meaning behind the lead single:

„mitleerenhänden“ which translates to empty handed is an EP about coming to terms with things not going the way you expected them too, about things ending too quickly and about the last hope that remains when all seems lost.

The title track is about feeling like no matter what you do it just feels like it is not good enough, which leaves you feeling alone with nothing left to give.“

5-tracks long, mitleerenhänden”. is an ideal showcase of Edwin’s impeccable ear for sound, impactful lyricism and unique sonic arrangements. From the slow, emotive droning of  ‘Die Sonne in deinem Zimmer’ to the atmospheric and melodic ‘1119‘, this project has a little something for everybody and judging by his success so far, Edwin Rosen is only getting started.
