Hello and welcome to this weeks Beneath the Surface feature. Today I am joined by the incredible artist and spiritual collective Krsnafari. We chat all about their new, debut EP ‘The Last of Us’ with epic new visual filmed in Morocco. Big things are on the horizon for this group of creatives. So get comfy and let’s dive into this interview connection.
What would you say first sparked your interest in music/who inspired you to make music?
For all of us music has been a big part of our upbringing and its especially prevalent in our spiritual practice. Music is something innate within us all and we have a strong belief in the power of music. From Midnite to Kendrik Lemar, all these artists have had a big influence on us in how to make music, especially in how to have a positive effect on someones consciousness through the power of sound.
How would you describe the music you are currently creating?
The music we a currently making is a reflection of the internal things we are processing thorough our spiritual practice as well as what we are observing in the world right now.
What does your creative process look like?
Can start with the video, can start with the melody hook, can start with a vocal hook, depends….
Who would you most like to collaborate with? (let’s send it out to the universe and make it happen!)
more spiritually likeminded artist – willow / kendrick etc. anyone who has spiritual substance within their creations
What is the one message you would like to send out to your fans?
find some balance within your life. don’t just be all material you need some spirituality in there to mix it up
What’s your top tip to rejuvenate your creativity/get over a writer’s block?
all inspiration comes from within but new surroundings can a lot help also
What’s next for you, what do we have to look forward to/ what are you currently working on?
much more content – We have a video coming up for one of the songs off the EP, also we have many single lined up from our artists in the collective
