Oxford-based six-piece indie-rockers Jody and the Jerms return with their shimmering new single ‘The Harder I Try’.
Release via their own label ‘JAT-J’, ‘The Harder I Try’ is another great example of the band’s effortlessly affecting chorus-soaked indie vibe. Summery, euphoric and still retaining a melancholic depth. The influenced of 80s and early 90s bands such as Pretenders and Cocteau Twins is prominent in the soundscape, with the female vocals float gracefully over the breezy backdrop.
Having picked up plays across BBC Radio 6 Music and Absolute Radio (Frank Skinner)the band are set to soon head on a 7-date UK tour to celebrate their latest album ‘Flicker’.
