Funky, fresh and flippin’ fantastic might be a few apt non-swearing ‘f’ words that roll off the tongue to describe this summery release from Oh Wonder, produced as a collaboration with 18-year-old Los Angeles-based producer, Whethan. You can’t not Superlove it!
Whethan, the moniker of Ethan Snoreck has previously collaborated most notably with the likes of Dua Lipa and Charlie XCX.
Could Superlove signal a slight change in style from Oh Wonder to break from their roots to make more electro-infused dance anthems? Or is it a one-off exploration? Who knows. Either way, it’s still pretty awesome, and the South East London-based pairing could explore any genre of music and still make an absolute bop.
It definitely sounds like a single that wouldn’t be out of place on our TV screens – you’d be surprised if it doesn’t feature in the background music on Love Island!
