After the success of singles ‘Devil’ and the charmingly catchy ‘Wish I Could’, folk-americana group The Wandering Hearts are back with a collection of four heart-warming tracks.
The singles featured will be instantly recognisable to anyone who’s been lucky enough to catch the quartet at either of their two sold-out London shows or where the band supported the likes of Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, the late Tom Petty and The Lumineers.
Drawing upon themes of isolation and loneliness, the quartet use their unbelievable harmonies to offer reassurement and hope on title track ‘Burning Bridges’. It’s a single that demands to be felt. It’s so emotionally compelling that you’ll find yourself coming back to it time and time again.
‘Nobody’s Fool’ has been a fan favourite for a while now, and it never fails to excite their enthralled audiences. The track allows for some stunning solo vocal performances whilst still containing The Wandering Heart’s distinctive harmonies. Next up on the EP is ‘Never Expected This’ which chronicles the tale of an unexpected love. A buoyant guitar rhythm flows over, perhaps, the most lyrically enthralling hit on the EP.
The EP finishes with a cover of Band Of Horses’ ‘No-One’s Gonna Love You’. The harmonies soar over the chorus to provide a perfect ending to this beautiful EP.
The EP provides fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the band’s debut album, which is set to be released in 2018. Given their success, it’s likely a UK tour is looming which will give you the opportunity to see The Wandering Hearts’ unmatchable harmonies live.
