The Top 10 Performances from 110 Above 2017

Festival on a farm, 110 Above, gave us an instant feel of excitement as soon as we walked up the hidden path, with fairy lights dancing around the letters on the entrance sign, we knew that this weekend was going to be something special.

Firstly, we have to give tremendous credit to the organisers of this year’s line up schedule. Usually, going to a more recognised festival will leave you torn between a couple of your favourite artists and  the dilemma of deciding which one to give a miss; and this is very likely to happen on more than one occasion throughout the weekend. Well, there were almost no clashes with artists this year, making it easier for you to see more acts that you really didn’t want to just ‘give a miss’.

The no clash schedule could have indicated that there were going to be parts of the festival that you would be wandering around doing nothing. But this was definitely not the case. 110 left you with activities during the day such as face painting and henna tattoos to get that festival aesthetic; tribal drumming sessions to listen, play or just discover what it’s all about; classical guitar workshops to get a feel for what the instrument can really do; garden games for children and families (or even the adults) and tractors and sun loungers to relax in the beautiful weather we had this weekend.

This year’s 110 Above Festival has provided us with a plethora of new, up and coming artists in the indie music scene. A refreshing breath of air from the Leicestershire countryside, gave us the perfect festival to discover some talent to keep on your radar. So, in no particular order, here are Turtle Tempo’s Top 10 Performances from 110 Above Festival 2017:
