NEW MUSIC: ‘Too Good’ by Marsicans

Crack open the beers and get the party poppers out. Yorkshire’s very own indie quartet Marsicans have released a brand new single in ‘Too Good‘.

A lot of bands have their breakthrough singles that find their way into being streamed millions of times, Marsicans are a band that have more than a few stand-out pieces, Swimming, Friends and Absence are just a trio of worthy playlist toppers.

Hopefully their newest release which is featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist will light the fuse as the start of something else for a band that are arguably way ‘too good’ to be a support act.

Too Good features vocals from lead-vocalist James Newbigging as well as solo vocals (possibly for the first time?) courteously of bass guitarist Rob Brander in the bridge leading into the final chorus towards the end of the single.

The school pals might as well be living in their red van that they call Pat, which is regularly seen featured in their Instagram stories. The band support Clean Cut Kid in October, you can check out their tour dates here. If you’re planning on going to any of their upcoming dates, you can usually spot a Marsicans member by their colourful attire, think a younger version of The Wiggles but with some slick beats.
