NEW MUSIC: ‘Nothing’ by Earl Grey

Are you ready for a slice of German punk? Earl Grey give us a slither of a track, coming in at just over a minute and a half. But what latest single ‘Nothing’ lacks in length, it makes up for in raw energy and aggression; there’s a lot packed into this song. Both guitarists are on top form and the band move together as an organised machine.

The single comes from the band’s forthcoming EP ‘The Times You Crossed My Mind’, out 16 July. The song instantly takes you back to the early 2000s, with its liking to bands such as Comeback Kid.

Hailing from Mönchengladbach, Earl Grey formed two years ago and have released two EPs to date. Consequently, those two EPs drew the attention of Kerrang!, Rock Sound and Punktastic, and gave the band a platform to tour the UK and Europe. Which they quickly followed with a tour of Eastern Europe, adding a further 21 shows in 7 countries, and 8000 km of driving.

Earl Grey is ready to reach an even wider audience with their third EP, a release that promises anthemic songs that blend melody and aggression expertly.
