NEW MUSIC: ‘Kiss?’ – CHILDCARE

CHILDCARE have been somewhat laying low since headlining the BBC introducing stage at Reading in 2015, only releasing one song in the last year.

Their third offering, ‘Kiss?’ shows no drop in standard. With a tune that expands on the pop sensibilities of early cutting Omega Grey, CHILDCARE seem to have struck the balance between creating something and exciting enough to induce moshpit frenzy, but also upbeat enough that it wouldn’t be out of place in a indie disco.

Starting off simple with a palm muted guitar under a female vocal line which repeats throughout the song. Impressively, despite the two simultaneous vocals, it doesn’t sound too complicated or crowded but fresh and unique.

Lyrically, the band stay true to their name with lines about being in the playground. Having already been booked for this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton, this band are sure to pop up everywhere this festival season, taking their playful pop bangers with them. Can’t wait to hear what CHILDCARE have to offer next!
