‘Sinking Ships’ by Venus Demilo

Indie newcomers Venus Demilo have just recently released a superb song which is titled ‘Sinking Ships’. A track that was written for people that are fed up of being asked what they’re doing with their lives.

The band gain strong resemblance to the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Foals and Bloc Party respectively, ‘Sinking Ships’ is a song that lyrically everyone will instantly be able to understand and be able to relate to. When I first listened to the tune, I gained an incredibly strong nostalgic feeling – which is something that not every song can give you.

The four-piece indie rock band from Liverpool consisting of Tom Anderson (vocals/guitar), Reuben Hobson (lead guitar), Christopher Connor (bass) and Ryan Williams (drums) have already received UK-wide media coverage from BBC Introducing, It’s All Indie and BBC Radio Merseyside to name just a few, as well as supporting The Pigeon Detectives on their tour. Surely it won’t be too long before Venus Demilo head out on their very own headline tour. We will certainly be seeing more from these lads very soon!
