The best album of the year. I’m putting it out there right now.
I first saw Eliza and the Bear in Canterbury in the early months of 2014, I was among an audience of around fifty people, and since my obsession with their infectiously incredible music started back then, I have been waiting for months and months for the indie pop quintet from London (consisting of James Kellegher, Callie Noakes, Martin Dukelow, Chris Brand and Paul Kevin Jackson) to release their self-titled debut album and it really doesn’t disappoint at all.
If you’re looking for sublime harmonies, euphoric anthems and just an all-round swell time then you need to just completely stop reading this right now and go and buy their magnificent, sensational, superhuman album.
It is quite simply just absolutely f%^k£!g seamlessly brilliant.
Buy it, you won’t regret it.
