When the four-piece outfit from Manchester, England known as Spring King came on stage supporting Wolf Alice on their UK tour of the album ‘My Love Is Cool’ – fans really didn’t know what to expect.
The post-punk quartet played a small supporting set and gained many lovers as the crowd enjoyed, danced and embraced the Manchester band as they played ‘Who Are You?’ and their latest single ‘Rectifier’ to name a few. They really knew how to get the crowd bouncing and they are an incredible band to see on their headline shows. This band look like they will be surely going onto big things as they’re rapidly growing in size and following after supporting both Wolf Alice and Slaves on their respective tours.
Currently, Spring King are now going into a busy month in May; with their headline tour around the country, including an opening gig at Waterfront, Norwich and closing at Scala, London on the 26th May before going on to play Truck Festival. All this build up will hopefully end in a debut album after their singles and EP’s including the brilliant ‘They’re coming after you EP’ have gained a lot of attention and are leaving fans in a strong desire for more.
After personally seeing this band supporting Wolf Alice at the O2 Kentish Town Forum, I really do hope that they grow huge, and I really recommend that you check them out!
You can find Spring King on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Deezer, as well as on their Soundcloud account.
