Welsh four piece Bright Young People share their new single ‘Lie In The Sun’, a peddle to the metal track that packs a relentless drive from start to finish. As the bands first release, the single has a strikingly complete sound and shows a lot of potential for further releases from the four piece.
Murky and dark, Lee’s biting, venomous lead vocals compliment the track’s unsettling feel. Built around a wall of guitar riffs that encompass elements Punk, Hard Rock as well holding a tinge of Classic Rock, the band capture a messy yet cohesive sound which matches the tracks rebellious attitude.
Speaking on the new single, lead vocalist Lee said: “I suppose it means I’m looking at everything around me, the rich and powerful taking everything and not giving us a share. I have a go at that I think in parts and it’s also about being bone idle I suppose.”
The first of eight singles to be dropping over the next year, all of which will be released on vinyl, the band are definitely one to keep an eye on as they grow and build momentum over the coming months.
