We first featured Rhys Lewis back in July when we were captivated by his painfully relatable single ‘I Know The Feeling’, check out our review HERE. Since then, he’s gone from strength to strength releasing three more singles to his expanding fan base.
Rhys’ earlier pieces have proven him to be a master of incorporating a impressive live band sound to fit his distinctive sound, which is no easy feet.
With ‘Reason To Hate You’ Rhys takes us back to basics – just him and his guitar. On stage, he’s often most impressive when there’s no one on stage except himself. This certainly doesn’t change off stage.
The lack of a full band makes you focus on Rhys’ incredible lyrics and makes this track extremely poignant and memorable. It’s a song made for late night solo listening.
