Bishop’s Stortford indie-rock duo Hyde Away release catchy new single “In With The Sharks”.
This young duo from Bishop’s Stortford already have a number of impressive accolades under their belts; support slots for Larkins and The Pale White, finalist places in the Juicebox Live Battle of the Bands 2019, two performances at Wilkestock Festival and winner of the NMG Best 18 & Under Band award. Conor Andrews and Max Hunt met through mutual friends at a gig, and the rest is history – they now unveil their brand new single “In With The Sharks” to the world.
“In With The Sharks was written after the announcement that UK would be leaving the EU,” the duo explain. “Having been too young to vote at the time, the song expresses our feelings and fears for our future and how we felt that our lives were out of our control”. I distinctly remember gawking at the television as the morning newsreader announced the UK’s bold decision to leave the EU and feeling utterly powerless, so Hyde Away’s new single is likely to strike a chord with many other young people too.
Tension builds throughout the track, culminating just before the three-minute mark in a rhythm section breakdown that would have a festival crowd going wild. Hyde Away present us with the perfect opportunity to chant out your anger at the British government before ending the song with a rapturous and uplifting final chorus.
The band have gained fans in all corners of the UK already, and the release of “In With The Sharks” shows the industry that Hyde Away aren’t likely to be slowing their roll anytime soon. If you love this new release, be sure to show the duo some love on the links below…
