NEW MUSIC: The Manatees – Have It All

Southampton alternative indie-rock trio The Manatees unveil scorching new single “Have It All”.

The Manatees (Jay Harris, Tyler Bloor and James Miller) have been making waves in the alternative indie-rock scene since 2018, releasing a constant stream of punchy, high-energy, catchy tunes that have caught the ears of major national tastemakers (namely BBC Radio DJs Huw Stephens and Chris Hawkins). “Have It All” is their third single of 2020, and the trio shows no signs of burning out with this scorcher of a tune.

Although just shy of three minutes long, The Manatees pack the track with organised chaos in the form of Strokes-esque guitar riffs, hooks galore and fabulously hectic drum beats. The band’s union with frontman-turned-producer Tarek Musa (Spring King) has resulted in a glorious, noisy offering to lovers of guitar bands far and wide, with DJ Chris Hawkins naming The Manatees ‘a new love’ of his. The band explain the origin of “Have It All”:

“It’s about being so infatuated with someone that they could control your every move if they wanted too. We’ve been locked away writing the past couple of months and this track represents a new era for us sonically”.

We are infatuated indeed! The Manatees have a very bright future ahead of them, without a shadow of a doubt. Now for the venues to re-open so we can catch them live… Be sure to follow these three talented musicians on social media to keep up with news of future releases and more.
