Everyone loves a Christmas party (don’t try and deny it), especially when it’s hosted by one of Leeds’ most exciting and upcoming promoters, Pizza For The People.

Led by the stellar duo that are Ryan and Julia, PFTP have been booking cracking bands for their Indie Banquet gigs for over two years, including The Wytches, Gengahr, Kagoule, Trudy & The Romance and The Orielles.
What’s more, a load of Leeds-based bands play at each Indie Banquet, and Leeds has a heck of a lot to offer: Treeboy & Arc, Drahla, Team Picture, The Howl & The Hum and Fehm – just to name a handful, of a person with a smol hand.
Back in February, PFTP hosted their first Indie Banquet at top-notch Leeds venue, Wharf Chambers, with South London’s newest, sort of post-punk, sort of spoken word industrial grit, graduates, Hotel Lux. They’ve supported the likes of Slaves, Insecure Men and Fontaines DC recently, and are returning to Wharf Chambers for Indie Banquet XII on Saturday 15th December.
Speaking of Insecure Men, dirty funk doused Warmduscher are headlining this Saturday. Yet another digestive by-product of The Fat White Family, their murky fuzz laden amalgamation of funk, a bit of disco glam and scourging surf rock is the filthy Christmas treat for all.
Post-punk outfits, Hull bred, LUMER and Wilted (a Leeds-based hybrid of Chest Pains, Treeboy & Arc and Glass Mountain members) and Huddersfield/Leeds’ Polevaulter are also up.
Pizza For The People Indie Banquet XII.
Saturday 15th December 2018.
Wharf Chambers, Leeds – 7pm onwards.
(There’s vegan fried chicken and it’s unbelievable.)
Come on down, treat yo self. It’s Christmas.
