5 For Friday – 27.04.18 – Twilight Driving

Cut from the same cake of upbeat, pulse-racing indie-rock bands similar to the likes of Clean Cut Kid and Natives, Twilight Driving are a name that you will certainly be hearing more of and deservedly so. We just can’t get enough of these guys, their belt out choruses and pitch-perfect live shows. The Brighton quartet have kindly sent us their selections for this weeks’ 5 For Friday!

Will: I’m gonna go for, Things It Would Be Helpful To Know Before The Revolution by Father John Misty. It’s a clever song but tongue in cheek, and the lyrics are influential.

Danny: My song is Bubblegum by Mystery Jets, it’s a great mood lifter, with summer feels that get me going on a Friday evening!

George: Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen. This is one of my favourite songs of all time! It’s full of optimism against all odds and a feeling of wanting to run away and start over. It’s really layered and complex with some incredible lyrics like “I just can’t face myself alone again”, it feels like every listen I get something new out of it.

Aidan: Super Far by LANY. The hook gets stuck in my head for days and the whole vibe of the track is the perfect mix between chilled and upbeat! The video is also filled with Dad dancing which is glorious.

Group pick: I Don’t Want To Know by Sigrid. Best tune to come out for a long time and the middle 8 is a dream.
