South-west London trio Vestiges garnered praise in early 2017 with their delightful single ‘Woman’. Follow up ‘All I’ll Ever Need’ further displayed the band’s immense talented and signalled them as ones to watch. We’re really excited to premiere the band’s new single ‘Evelyn’.
Evelyn opens with mellow free-flowing guitars which allow the compelling lyrics to take the forefront. The chorus brings in buoyant, intriguing instrumentation, which is utterly compelling. It is not only reflective but regretful and splendidly romantic.
Like Vestiges two previous releases, Evelyn keeps drawing you in for more while growing on you with each subsequent listen.
While the tunes are laid-back and almost dreamlike, they pack some serious emotional weight among an unmistakable idyllic haze.
The band were hailed by NME as ‘evoking the quality and confidence of a seasoned band’ while also featuring on Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Six Strings playlist. Just a single listen to one of their pieces makes it easy to see why their tracks are receiving such acclaim from industry heavyweights.
We can exclusively reveal that Vestiges plan to release their debut album titled ‘Evelyn’ on 12th January 2018. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for the group as they look set to their take their unique brand of intimate, laid back music to new audiences.
