Ahead of our charity showcase in aid of Mind on Monday 31st July, we’ve chatted with one of the night’s acts, George Pelham. He’s certainly no stranger to London gigs, with his soul-infused songs already visiting venues such as Hackney’s The Star and Kensington’s The Cellar.
Before you see him alongside Radio 1 tipped Luna Bay and the wonderful Kiera Court, get to know this London-based singer-songwriter a bit more below:

Who are your main influences?
Too many to count to be honest – Donny Hathaway, Prince and JT to name a few.
Your cover of Beyonce’s Drunk In Love is incredible, how do you decide which songs to cover?
I don’t know how you found that vid but you’ve done well! Well, I try not to do too many covers but if it’s unexpected and I like the song then I’ll usually give it a bash.
You’re playing at our charity night on the 31st of July (in support Mind) but what else have you got planned for the summer?
And I’m very happy to have been asked by you guys! Quite a few shows and festivals this summer, including iluvlive on Aug 7 and also Camper Calling at the end of August.
What’s the best show you’ve ever played?
Got to be my debut headline show in March – it was a pretty small room but it was great
When can we expect new music?
This is the question – should have my first single out in September/October time so get involved!
You can catch George Pelham alongside Luna Bay and Kiera Court at The Social on Monday the 31st of July. Tickets are available here: http://billet.to/s/jbHr9sM
