110 Above Festival located in rural Leicestershire, is the go-to place for your festival weekend this coming August. Tickets are being snapped up quicker than a flock of pigeons eating a loaf of bread at your local park. You just can’t afford to miss out on this one.
The festival, which was founded by Michael Lain, is held annually on Gopsall Hall Farm, once known as ‘Lainfest’ it will be in it’s 8th year of bringing music lovers together. Here’s 5 reasons why you need to head to 110 Above this summer.
1. The line-up
Obviously like all festivals, the line-up is a hugely important factor to deciding whether you want to go for a day, two, or three. 110 Above boasts a jaw-dropping line-up of pure musical magic, and a plethora of talented artists that have sold-out venues up-and-down the United Kingdom in recent months.
2. Glamping
If the line-up enough didn’t convince you that 110 Above is the place to be – if you aren’t too keen on camping, and the thought alone of erecting a tent makes you hyperventilate, then you can purchase a luxury glamping package for the weekend.
3. It’s a pretty intimate festival
With just a 1000 people capacity on Gopsall Hall Farm, the independent event is a temporary home to a fairly small amount of music punters in comparison to the likes of Reading & Leeds Festival and Glastonbury Festival, where hundreds of thousands of people turn up every year. With that in mind, just imagine how much smaller the queues for the loos are! I know what I would prefer.
4. Cost effective
When I first saw the ticket prices, I genuinely thought that the £65 adult ticket fee was for one day, but nope, it’s for all three days. How seriously cheap is that to see such a great line-up of music?
5. Marsicans
Just incase you haven’t studied the line-up intensely just yet, Yorkshire quartet Marsicans are performing at the festival for the second year in a row. Personally, I’d pay £65 just to see Marsicans for three days in a row, but that would be pretty creepy wouldn’t it? I guess 110 Above will have to do!
“Arrived (at 110 Above) with no expectations and left wishing the weekend would never end. A really special festival with an amazing atmosphere. Don’t miss it.” – Beth Edwards
