New Carnival have started 2017 meaning business. The release of their latest single ‘Run for Cover’ is a lot harsher than their previous work but the low, repetitive vocals make for a catchy and solid track. It’s very indie and very powerful, exactly the kind of song that would go off live.
Last year, the Bristolian boys were featured on Annie Mac’s New Names on BBC Radio One with their debut single ‘Where Do You Want To Go’. From that you wouldn’t expect their follow up track to be quite so harsh and aggressive but this new direction is definitely one worth pursuing. It starts off being quite innocent and melancholy but as the track progresses the suppressed anger begins to explode so by the halfway point you’re at the peak of that anger and it takes over.
Cleverly put together this feeds the needs of their current fanbase as well as opening them up to a whole new range of people. They’re going to be touring with Gurr soon so check them out and grab your tickets!
