NEW MUSIC: ‘Berlin’ by Bear’s Den

2016 saw Bear’s Den experience a very successful year in terms of musicianship. Despite the departure of one of their members in February, Joey Haynes, the band soldiered on rather than calling it quits like many tight-knit groups would.

In July of last year, the now-duo released their second LP entitled ‘Red Earth & Pouring Rain’ – a darker, heavier, and more experimental effort than their folksy debut ‘Islands’. The sophomore record immediately went straight in at number six in the UK album charts, and the band went on to play their biggest show at Brixton Academy during their Autumn European tour.

Having completed their winter tour the band have released a new stand-alone track called ‘Berlin’, a bittersweet acoustic gem reminiscent of their early sound. Regarding the new track, band member Andrew Davie commented: “We’re so excited to be sharing ‘Berlin’ with the world. It’s a song we started writing a year ago and finished writing over the last few days of our last tour. Feels like a small way for us to say thank you to all the people who’ve supported us all over the world over the last year and made it such an incredible year for us as a band.”
