You may have noticed Los Angeles Indie pop duo OLYS if you have seen their name at #5 on Spotify’s Viral Charts. Recently they have come out with 10th Song which has the ultimate equipoise of mellow and vibrance.
It’s so hard to pick apart the song and criticise it into parts considering its tendency to trap you in a muse. The bits between the choruses are artistically tasteful and calming, whereas the chorus is a hit of energy and a resonance of sound that makes it so pleasing to listen to.
OLYS are building up their soon to be mountain of success, what with already reaching #5 on Spotify’s Viral Charts, partnering with MTV, and performing at various festivals and around Los Angeles. The LA music scene makes it hard to stand out in the sea of artists, but they really have made a name for themselves with their unique synth-pop indie sound.
