A lot of pretty great things have come out of Yorkshire – the Yorkshire pudding, Yorkshire Tea, rhubarb, stainless steel, even Guy Fawkes was born in Yorkshire. Well we’ll add Marsicans to that list with their explosive new single ‘Throw Ourselves In’.
Marsicans are on the brink of a trio of European tour dates with Hippo Campus, where they’ll be hitting the dizzy heights of Berlin and Brussels in their van Pat, but luckily enough for us they’re still around to kindly share with us some of their favourite musical jams.

Marsicans took to the stage in their support slot to Natives, the quartet had just come off the back of a mile-clocking few days, playing their joyous indie-rock tunes in Cardiff before heading north to Manchester and then back down south to London at Camden Assembly – which was recently formerly known as the Barfly.
We were absolutely thrilled to get the chance to have a chat with Marsicans’ lead singer and guitarist James Newbigging about life in Yorkshire, turtles, and everything they get up to in their spare time.
The brilliant Leeds based four-piece Marsicans released this song a little shy of half a year ago, and it is certainly a massively catchy song that gets you hooked.
